In 1994, fueled by the inadequacies of conventional inline chassis technologies like the Hi-Lo® and V-form®, smart|hockey set out to create a chassis which mimicked the geometry of an ice skate blade. By 1997, c|saw™ chassis tehcnology was born and quickly adopted by Bauer Nike Hockey which paid for the right to use it exclusively on Bauer and Nike skates.

By duplicating the performance of an ice skate blade, smart|hockey not only unleashed a totally revolutionary game enhancing technology for roller hockey players, but it also opened the door to a plethora of off-season training possibilities for both ice and roller hockey players. In that vain, smart|hockey is now focused on providing off-season skills development products and information for both ice and roller hockey players.
